About Chris
I started my career as an IT professional and consultant, eventually finding my true passion in the Recruiting/Sourcing/HR community. I am currently retained as a Consultant through my company Havrilla LLC, where I focus on all aspects of strategy, process, and technology as it relates to Recruiting, Sourcing, Talent Management and Development. My Recruiting background is largely corporate in nature, though I do have some experience in third party recruitment. Previous employers include Hitachi Consulting, Eclipsys, Deloitte, Computer Task Group (CTG), and Georgia-Pacific. As a consultant, I have had clients ranging from SMB markets to the Fortune 100. I have a strong client service orientation, so whether my role is internal or external, it is certainly the approach I take.
I hold a BBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Georgia. GO DAWGS!!!
I am actively involved (attending, speaking, writing, presenting, participating) with several local and national groups/associations/conferences such as Atlanta Director of Recruiting Roundtable, GAPS, Halogen User Conference, Human Capital Institute (HCI), HREvolution, IQPC, mRecruitingCamp, SHRM-Atlanta, Social Media Atlanta, RecruitFest, Recruiting Innovation Summit, Social Recruiting Summit, SourceCon, Technology Association of Georga (TAG) Recruiting Society, TRU — and also served previously as a member of Monster.Com’s Advisory Board and AIRS Recruitment Technology Roundtable. I am currently serving as Vice President, Social Media for SHRM-Atlanta, on the board of TAG Recruiting Society, and as an Expert Adviser (Acquisition)/guest blogger for the Human Capital Institute (HCI). I have had the great opportunity to be quoted on Mashable, American Express OPEN Forum, US News & World Report, and Yahoo! Finance. Online radio appearances include Business Transformation Radio, #TChat Radio – World of Work, DriveThru HR (DTHR – 1/27/11, 5/31/11, 11/2/11 ), The Recruiting Animal Show, Recruiter House Party, TalkSourcing, and HR Happy Hour.
